A passenger died Thursday in a one-vehicle crash on state Route 319, Kentucky State Police say.
It happened just after 6 p.m. when the southbound vehicle went out of control, struck an embankment and overturned into a ditch.
The driver was taken by ambulance to Appalachian Regional Hospital in Williamson. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.
No names have been released, pending notification of the victim’s family.
