Two men died… and a homeland security officer was injured in a three-vehicle accident that ended a police chase in Pulaski County yesterday. Kentucky State Police say A Science Hill police officer tried stopping a car that was driving erratically. The driver… later identified as 33-year old Steven O Vanhook from Eubank… hit the gas, eventually colliding with a pick-up along Highway 27 in Somerset. Vanhook, and 18-year old Dylan Snow from Kings Mountain who was driving the truck… both died at the scene. The vehicle driven by Homeland Security officer Thomas Armstrong from Somerset was also struck. Armstrong was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet closed down a section of Highway 27 for several hours while KSP investigated and cleared the scene. KSP is leading the investigation into the crash.
