A North Carolina man charged with kidnapping a Harlan County teen is out of jail.
Caitlyn Bosley, 16, went missing from her home in late March. Police found her at the home of Jonathan Stewart in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he had kept her for nearly two weeks.
Detectives used cell phone records and social media data to track down Bosley.
We called down to Charlotte to see when Stewart would be sent to Kentucky to answer for the kidnapping charge, and found the courthouse had no record of him.
Kentucky State Police (KSP) tell us a judge in Mecklenburg County set a $100,000 bond for Stewart. Stewart posted that bond and was released.
KSP must now get a governor’s warrant in hopes of having Stewart arrested again.
