Two inmates in Clay County faces charges for trying to start a riot at the Clay County Detention Center early Wednesday morning. Jail officials say smoke detectors started going off at the jail at around 2-AM after inmates started a trash fire in a cell. Once the fire was out, and police left the premises… inmates then tried flooding a cell. James Lawson faces more than 350 counts of wanton endangerment, inciting a riot, and several other crimes. Randall Collett is charged with inciting a riot. No one was hurt in either incident.
