The Letcher County Central boys and girls soccer teams will next play on Saturday in a boys/girls doubleheader at Estill County.

The unbeaten 5-0 girls play at 12 noon.  The 4-1 and winners of 4 straight boys team will play at 2:00pm.

The Letcher County Central Lady Cougar Volleyball team will play Belfry at home tonight at 6:30pm.

It's Letcher County Central Cougar Football Friday night from Daniel Field in Hazard as the Cougars take on the 0-1 Hazard Bulldogs in the first road game of the season

Kickoff is set for 7:30pm and we'll have the game here on the Bulldog with the Cougar Countdown Pre-game Show starting at 6:45.

The 1-1 Jenkins Cavaliers are off this week with an open date and will be home next Friday to welcome Clinton County.   Kickoff on Friday September 13th at Jenkins is set for 8:00pm.

This Saturday September 7th at Letcher Central Football Field the future of Letcher County Football will be on display.  

Youth football teams featuring 2nd through 5th grade and middle school kids from several county schools will be competing in an all day bowl extravaganza.  

There will be seven games played throughout the day with the first game starting at 10:00am.  

Concessions will be available.

Admission will be adults $3.00 & children $2.00

It was a boys and girls doubleheader for LCC Soccer last night at Prestonsburg.

The Letcher County Central Boys Soccer team has reeled off 4 straight wins.

They beat the Blackcats on the road last night 2-1.  

The win puts them at 4-1 on the season.

The LCC Lady Cougars also won over Prestonsburg to remain unbeaten at 5-0.

The Soccer teams will have another boys/girls doubleheader this Saturday at Estill County.

The girls play at 12 noon.  The boys play at 2:00pm.

The Letcher County Central Lady Cougar Volleyball team lost at Hazard last night 3 games to 1.

The scores were 25-19, 20-25, 25-18 and 25-19.

The Lady Cougars are now 3-5 and will play Belfry at home this Thursday  at 6:30pm.

The 2-0 Letcher County Central Cougar Football team will head to Hazard for their first road game of the season this Friday as they take on the Bulldogs at Daniel Field.  

Hazard is 0-1 on the year after losing to Pikeville in a 62-50 shootout Saturday in the Pike County Bowl.

Game time is set for 7:30pm and we'll have the game here on the Bulldog with the Cougar Countdown Pre-game Show starting at 6:45.

We'll recap the Cougars win over McCreary Central and look ahead to the Hazard game as we talk Cougar football tonight at 6:30pm Live from Pine Mountain Grill with Coach Mike Holcomb on the LCC Coaches Show.

The LCC Football Freshmen team got a win on the road in their first game of the season beating Perry County Central last night 22-14 at the new Perry Central Field in Hazard.

In varsity Football, it's week 2 of the season and the 1-0 Letcher County Central  Cougars will welcome McCreary Central tonight for a 7:30 kickoff at home in the first annual ARH Football Classic at LCC.  

Tailgating for tonight's LCC game will begin around 6:00pm and all Cougar fans are invited to be there early.

We'll bring you the game on the Bulldog.  

The Appalachian Wireless Cougar Countdown Pre-game Show begins at 6:45pm.

The 1-0 Jenkins Cavaliers and Coach Joe Colwell will face Allen Central in their home opener tonight with kickoff set for 7:30pm.

The LCC Boys Soccer team is now 3-1 and winners of 3 in a row after shutting our Prestonsburg at home last night 3-0.

They will next play at Prestonsburg this Tuesday Sept 3rd at 8:00pm part of an LCC boys and girls doubleheader.

The LCC Girls Soccer team is still unbeaten as they also won last night beating Prestonsburg 6-3 to go to 4-0 on the year.

Letcher County Central Lady Cougar Volleyball will next be in action Tuesday at Hazard at 7:30pm.

The UK Wildcats will begin the Mark Stoops Era this Saturday as they battle the Western KY Hilltoppers at LP Field in Nashville.

Kickoff is at 7:00pm.  Pregame will begin here on the Bulldog at 5:30pm.

The Letcher County Central Cougar Football team is now 2-0 after beating McCreary Central Friday night in the ARH Football Classic at LCC.  

The final score was 56-0 and gave LCC back to back shutout wins to begin the year.  

The Cougars will now head to Hazard for their first road game of the season this Friday as they take on the Bulldogs at Daniel Field.  

Hazard is 0-1 on the year after losing to Pikeville in a 62-50 shootout Saturday in the Pike County Bowl.

Game time is set for 7:30pm and we'll have the game here on the Bulldog with the Cougar Countdown Pre-game Show starting at 6:45.

The Jenkins Cavaliers are now 1-1 in 2013 after losing to Allen Central 34-26 as the Rebels got the come from behind win.

The Cavaliers will stay home this Friday and battle Clinton County with kickoff set for 8:00pm.

The Letcher County Central Cross Country Boys and Girls Teams traveled to Ashland Tuesday night and competed in the  Season Preview Meet.

16 teams from Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky were there and approx. 70 girls ran in the Varsity race with 125 in the boys Varsity race

The following LCC athletes medaled on Tuesday:

Elementary Division: Bailey Kincer

Womens Division: Leanna Bryant

Mens Division: Trevor Wayne also known a T-Wayne

The LCC Boys finished 5th overall

The LCC Football Freshmen team game scheduled for tonight at home against Pike County Central has been changed to an away game at Perry County Central.  

The game will be held at 6:00pm this evening at the new Perry Central Football Field just off Highway 80 near Wal-Mart.

The LCC Boys and Girls Soccer Teams will play a doubleheader on tonight at home against Prestonsburg.  

The boys play at 6:30pm and the girls play at 8:00pm.                                                 

Letcher County Central Lady Cougar Volleyball will also be in action tonight at home as they take on Johnson Central at 7:30pm.
