In high school baseball, the Letcher County Central Cougars pulled out a nice win over the Hazard Bulldogs yesterday at home 5-4.  

The game was close throughout but a clutch hit by Stephen Fox with bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th scored Dakota Yonts from 3rd to give LCC the win to improve to 8-7 overall.  

Jarrett Fields with 3 runs scored, 3 stolen bases and 4 for 4 with 4 singles was named our Appalachian Wireless Player of the Game.

The Cougars are back home against Powell County tonight with first pitch at 7:00pm.  

They will then play Bath County on Saturday at Cordia at 4:00pm.

The Jenkins Cavaliers lost to Phelps at home last night 11-5.   They will next play Letcher County Central at Jenkins this Tuesday at 5:00pm.

The Letcher County Central Lady Cougars Softball Team plays at home tomorrow in their next game at 2:00pm against South Floyd.  

The Lady Cougars will play Perry County Central at home Monday at 6:00pm and we'll broadcast that game live here on the Bulldog with Pre-game starting around 5:45pm.  

The 11-1 Jenkins Lady Cavaliers softball team will play next this weekend in the Lyndell Potter Memorial at Pikeville HS.

Jenkins will play East Ridge tonight at 6:00pm and on Saturday they will take on Clay County at 10:00am  and Johnson Central at 3:15pm.  

Again all games at Pikeville HS.

The Letcher County Central Boys and Girls Tennis Teams will have a match on Saturday at Oneida Baptist.

The Reds are 6-9 overall in 5th place in the NL Central, 4.5 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Reds had the day off on Thursday but will begin a 3 city, 10 game road trip this afternoon.

They will play 3 against the Cubs, 4 in Pittsburgh against the Pirates and 3 at Atlanta with the Braves.
 
All 3 games this weekend in Chicago against the Cubs Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday will be day games and begin at 2:20.  Pre-game starts at 1:50 each day on AM 920.
