It's Big Blue Monday as the the UK Wildcats beat Wisconsin Saturday 74-73 in the Final Four to advance to the National Championship game tonight to take on UConn, who knocked out Florida by 10.

The UK-UConn National Championship game will tip off at 9:10pm tonight.  

We'll have the game here on the Bulldog with the Countdown to Tipoff beginning at 7:30pm live from Dallas Texas as the Cats go for championship #9.

The LCC Lady Cougars softball team played in the Eastman Tournament of Kingsports at Dobyns Bennett High School in Tennessee on Friday and Saturday.

The Lady Cougars lost all 4 games to Christian Academy of Knoxville, Dobyns Bennett HS, Eastside, VA and Powell, TN.

The 4-4 Lady Cougars will return home to play East Ridge on Tuesday.  Game time is 6:00pm.

The 9-1 Jenkins Lady Cavaliers will begin play against Leslie County Tuesday in the 14th Region All A Classic.

Weather permitting, the 5-4 Letcher County Central Cougar baseball team will be back on the field today at home in a district game against June Buchanan.  First pitch is scheduled for 5:30pm.  The Cougars will host Knott County Central in another district game Tuesday at 5:30pm.  

The Jenkins Cavaliers baseball will play at Knott County Central in a district game today at 5:00pm and at Leslie County Tuesday at 6:00pm.

The Letcher County Central Boys and Girls Track teams competed Friday in the Tommy Smith Invitational at Knox Central HS in Barbourville.

In a very competitive meet, the girls placed 4th and the boys placed 3rd.

The Reds lost 2 out of 3 to the New York Mets on the first road trip of the season this weekend.

They lost 4-3 on Friday, 6-3 on Saturday and won Sunday 2-1.

The Reds continue the road swing today with the first of 3 against the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Reds and Cardinals will battle in the home opener for St. Louis this afternoon.
