In the game heard live on 103.9 The Bulldog last night the Letcher County Central Lady Cougar Softball team picked up 7 runs in the 5th inning to beat Leslie County 9-1 and run their record to 4-0 to begin the season.

Makaley Johnson got the complete game win giving up 1 run and 5 hits in 7 innings.

The Lady Cougars will play 2 games today and 2 games Saturday in the Eastman Tournament of Kingsport at Dobyns Bennett HS.  

It's 6 wins in a row for the Jenkins Lady Cavaliers Softball team after they beat June Buchanan 19-1 in 3 innings to get the district win last night.

The 9-1 Lady Cavaliers will play at Shelby Valley this afternoon at 5:30pm.  

The Letcher County Central Cougar baseball team is back home after playing this week in the Derby City Classic at Butler High School in Louisville.

The Cougars return to action with a district home game this Monday April 7th against  June Buchanan at 5:30pm and we'll broadast that game live on the Bulldog. 

Pre-game begins at 5:15.

The Jenkins Cavaliers lost to East Ridge 9-5 yesterday and will next play at Knott County Central this Monday at 6:00pm.

The Letcher County Central Cougars & Lady Cougars Track Team will compete @ Knox Central High School - in Barbourville, KY  at 4:00pm today in the Tommy Smith Invitational.

The Reds are now 1-2 on the season after losing game 3 of the season opening series against the St. Louis Cardinals 7-6 yesterday afternoon.  

The Reds are on the road for the first time this year as they head to New York to play the Mets in a 3 game weekend series.

Game time tonight is 7:10 with pre-game at 6:40.   

Game time for Saturday and Sunday is 1:10.
