Much of the weekend high school baseball and softball action was rained out but on Friday night, the Letcher County Central Cougars beat Lincoln County at Harlan County 11-2.  

The 5-2 Cougars will play 4 games in the Derby City Classic through Thursday of this week at Louisville Butler High School.

Game one is against Glen Ellyn Illinois today at 5:00pm.

The Jenkins Cavalier baseball team lost to Cordia in the home opener on Friday in a district game.  

Jenkins will play on the road at Central HS of Wise County VA  this afternoon at 5:30pm.

The 5-2 Jenkins Lady Cavaliers softball team is back in action at home against Belfry this afternoon at 6:00pm.

The Lady Cavaliers have a district double-header at home against Cordia on Tuesday.  Game times are 5:30 and 7:00pm.

The 1-0 Letcher County Central Lady Cougars softball team will play at South Floyd this afternoon at 6:00pm.

The Lady Cougars will play at Powell County Tuesday at 6:00pm.

Today is opening day for the 2014 season of Cincinnati Reds baseball.

The Reds will take on division rival, the St. Louis Cardinals,  this afternoon in the first game of a 3 game series over 4 days at Great American Ball Park.  

Johnny Cueto will get the start for the Reds on opening day and Adam Wainwright will go for the Cardinals.  

Game time is 4:10.  Pregame begins at 3:40 on your home for Reds baseball in the mountains, AM 920 WTCW.

The never say die Kentucky Wildcats have beaten 3 of last year's Final Four teams along the way including the Michigan Wolverines yesterday 75-72 to claim the Midwest Region Crown of the NCAA Tournament and punch their ticket to the Final Four in Dallas this weekend.  

The Cats will face Wisconsin in the 2nd National semifinal game Saturday night.   The first semifinal game will be Florida and UConn.  

The Kentucky - Wisconsin game will tipoff at approx 8:49 Saturdy night.

103.9 The Bulldog will bring you all the action Saturday night with pre-game starting at 7:00pm.
