In high school baseball, The Letcher County Central Cougars are now 4-2 after beating Buckhorn 6-1 on the road Thursday.

The Cougars will play Lincoln County at Harlan County tonight at 7:00pm and at Bell County Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm.  

The baseball Cougars will play in the Derby City Classic next week at Louisville Butler HS.

The Jenkins Cavalier baseball team has a a district game against Cordia tonight at home.   

It will be the home opener for the Cavaliers and game time is 5:00pm.

Jenkins will play at Central HS of Wise County VA on Monday at 5:30pm.

The Jenkins Lady Cavaliers softball team beat a very good 13th Region Harlan County Lady Black Bear team at home Thursday afternoon, winning 6-3.  

The Lady Cavaliers will now play Belfry at home Monday at 6:00pm.

The next game for the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars softball will be at South Floyd in this Monday at 6:00pm.

The Lady Cougars will play at Powell County Tuesday at 6:00pm.

The Letcher County Central Boys and Girls Tennis Teams will have a Match today at Knott County Central starting at 5:30pm.

The Cincinnati Reds won both games yesterday in split squad action.  

They beat the Diamondbacks 9-1 and the Brewers 8-2.   

Those were the final 2 spring training games in Arizona for the Reds.

The Reds are in Florida to play their double A farm team this evening, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.   Game time is  7:05 and you can hear the game on AM 920 WTCW with pre-game at 6:50pm.  

The Reds will have their final spring training game in Louisville on Saturday against the Louisville Bats.  First pitch is 4:00pm.

The Reds regular season opener is Monday at GABP vs. the Cardinals in the first of 3 games.

Game time is 4:05.  Pregame 3:35 Monday afternoon on AM 920.

The Battle of the Bluegrass takes place tonight as the Cats and Cards, UK and Louisville hook up in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 Midwest Region in Indianapolis with tipoff around 9:45pm.
