The 2013-2014 season ended yesterday for the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars as they lost to the Leslie County Lady Eagles in the girls 14th Region Tournament held at Leslie County.    

The Lady Cougars finish at 21-8 and were led by Cheyenne Stidham with 16.  

Senior Kelli Quillen playing in her final game at LCC had a double double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.  

Leslie County All Region player Katie Moore had 31 points including 13 of 14 free throws.  She also had 15 rebounds.  

Leslie County advances to the semi-finals to play Powell County, who beat Jackson City 88-64 in the first game of the day.

The two games last night in the girls region tournament saw Perry County Central knock out Knott County Central 71-36 and Breathitt County beat Lee County 74-53.

The girls Region semi-finals will be Friday with Powell playing Leslie County at 6:30, followed by Perrry County Central and Breathitt County at 8:15.  

The championship game will be Saturday at 7:00pm.  All games at Leslie County High School in Hyden.

The Boys 14th Region Tournament begins tonight at Perry County Central.  

There will be  2 opening round games tonight and 2 on Thursday.

Tonight at 6:30pm, Breathitt County plays Estill County and at 8:15 Knott County Central battles Perry County Central.
Thursday night at 6:30pm it's Hazard and Cordia followed by Powell County against Wolfe County at 8:15.  
The boys 14th Region Tournament semi-finals will be Monday and the championship game on Tuesday all at Perry County Central.

The Cincinnati Reds are now 3-4 in spring training games after losing to the Royals on Tuesday afternoon 9-5.

The Reds will now play the Dodgers tonight at 9:05pm.   Pregame begins at 8:50 this evening on AM 920 WTCW.  

The Reds regular season schedule begins March 31st against the St. Louis Cardinals at Great American Ball Park.

The UK Wildcats snapped a 2 game losing streak and beat Alabama last night 55-48 on Senior Night at Rupp Arena.  

The 2 Seniors are Jared Polson and Jon Hood.  

The 25th ranked Cats are now  22-8 overall and 12-5 in SEC play.  

With the win they become the 2nd seed in the SEC Tournament that begins March 12th in Atlanta.

UK will wrap up the regular season with a road trip to play the Florida Gators this Saturday.
