This is the final week of regular season play for boys & girls high school basketball before district tournaments begin on Monday February 24th.

Unless they re-schedule a missed game, the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars have wrapped up the season with no games scheduled this week.  

They finish the regular season at 19-7 and will be the #1 seed in the 53rd District Tournament.

The 15-10 Jenkins Lady Cavaliers have 3 games left this week.  

They play at Shelby Valley Tuesday, Pike County Central at home Thursday and Betsy Layne at home Friday.  

The 14-11 Letcher County Central Cougar Boys will have 2 games left in the regular season this week.   

Tuesday night they play Buckhorn at home for Senior Night honoring Josh Owens, Chippy Frazier and Kyler Lucas.  

We'll broadcast the LCC-Buckhorn game Tuesday night.  

Tipoff is 7:30 and the Appalachian Wireless Pre-Game Show begins at 7 here on the Bulldog.    

The Cougars will wrap up the season at home against Pike County Central on Thursday.   

The 4-20 Jenkins Cavalier will have 3 games to wrap up the regular season this week.  

They play at Hazard Tuesday, at Buckhorn on Thursday and at home against Betsy Layne Friday.

The 53rd District Boys & Girls Tournaments will be held next week at Knott County Central.  

Jennifer O'Neil scored 24 points and sparked a comeback as the #18 Kentucky Women rallied for a 75-71 victory over #8 Tennessee on Sunday, earning them their first win in Knoxville since 1985.

The #14 UK men lost to #3 Florida on Saturday night 69-59 for their first loss in Rupp this season.  

Kentucky will play at Ole Miss on Tuesday night in their next game.  

The Coach Cal Show, Big Blue Weekly and the Coach Matthew Mitchell Shows will air on Wednesday this week starting at 6:00pm here on the Bulldog.
