Last night at Letcher County Central High School, the Knott County Central Patriot boys achieved at least a tie for the 53rd district regular season title as they beat the LCC Cougars 64-35.   

The Patriots are now 15-4 and the Cougars fall to 12-9 overall and have lost back to back district games.  

Camron Justice had 24 to lead all scorers and Evan Hall added 15.  

The Cougars were led by Torell Carter with 10 points and 8 rebounds.  

Josh Owens also had 10.

The Cougars will next face the 14-4 Perry County Central Commodores Thursday at home in a 14th Region game.  

JV begins at 6 with varsity at 7:30.

The Jenkins Cavaliers lost a district game to Cordia at home last night 70-26.  

The Cavaliers continue district play as they take on Letcher County Central Friday at Jenkins.  

JV at 6 and Varsity at 7:30.

The 14-6 Letcher County Central Lady Cougars are back in action tonight at home as they welcome Central High School out of Wise County, VA, weather permitting.

The Jenkins Lady Cavaliers are 13-7 overall now after losing to June Buchanan on the road Monday night 76-70.  

The Lady Cavaliers have lost 3 in a row and will play at Pikeville Thursday at 6:00pm.

LSU led wire to wire to upset the #11 Kentucky Wildcats 87-82 on Tuesday night.  

The Cats are now 15-5 overall and 5-2 in the SEC.  

They will play at Missouri this Saturday with Pre-Game on the Bulldog at 11:30am and tipoff at 1.
