 The Letcher County Central Cougar Boys are now 4-2 on the year and winners of 3 in a row after beating South Floyd on the road last night 75-59.

The Cougars will now head to Gatlinburg, Tennessee to play in the Smokey Mountain Classic this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Also last night in boys action:

Belfry over Jenkins 68-46.   The Cavaliers next game will be at home against Phelps this Friday night.

In girls high school basketball last night across the mountains:

Perry Central squeezed by Knott County Central 72-71.   The Lady Commodores are 5-0.
Harlan 59 North Laurel 54
Magoffin County Over Lawrence County 77-46
and Shelby Valley knocked off Allen Central 58-44.

Tonight in girls action:

The 3-2 Letcher County Central Lady Cougars will be on the road at 4-0 Leslie County.  JV at 6.  Varsity at 7:30.

and Wolfe County is at Breathitt County

The 6-1 Jenkins Lady Cavaliers are playing Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the Smokey Mountain Classic in Gatlinburg.  


The LCC Cougar wrestling team will take part in the Bobby Bates Classic at the UVA Wise Convocation Center this Friday/Saturday December 20-21.


The 8-3 #19 ranked UK Wildcats will not play again until Saturday when they host Belmont at Rupp Arena in Lexington.
