After being down 12-7 at halftime, the Letcher County Central Cougar Football team went on a 15-0 run in the 3rd quarter to get a huge district win over Perry County Central Friday night at Cougar Field.

The final score was LCC 22 Perry Central 18.

With the win the Cougars could see their first home playoff game since 2009.

If the Cougars beat Whitley County on the road this Friday, they will secure 2nd place in the district standings and a home playoff game.

In the Perry Central game Friday the Cougars showed a stingy 2nd half defense and effective running game to get the win.

The Cougars are now 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the district.

The Cougars will next face the winless Whitley County on the road this Friday in the final district game.  Kickoff is set for 7:30pm.
