High School Football Scores from week 7 Friday night across the mountains:

Knott County Central 46 Jenkins 20 Knott Central improves to 3-3 and Jenkins falls to 1-5.

Johnson Central beat Ironton, OH 56-14

Lawrence County over Sheldon Clark 56-20
Lincoln County 37 South Laurel 6
Madison Southern over Southwestern 44-6
Middlesboro beat Union VA 27-6
Morgan County 20 Jackson County 8
Pineville over Allen Central 53-14
Pulaski County beat North Laurel 42-26.  It was the first loss of the season for the Jaquars.
Shelby Valley over Grundy, VA 50-26
Twin Valley VA got by Phelps 38-36
and Wayne County over Corbin 35-28.

Several mountain teams, including Letcher County Central,  had the week off in high school football.  The 3-3 LCC Cougars will play at Harlan County this Friday October 11th when they begin class 5A district play.

Jenkins will begin district play in Class A this Friday when they play at Pineville.

In soccer, the Letcher County Central Cougar boys are 11-5 and the LCC girls soccer team is 9-3.

They will play at Paintsville tomorrow(Tuesday) in a boys/girls doubleheader.  
The girls play at 6:00pm with the boys to follow around 8:00pm.

The Letcher County Central Lady Cougar Volleyball team will have their next game tomorrow(Tuesday) at home against Pikeville.   Game time is 6:00pm.

After losing to South Carolina on the road 35-28 on Saturday night, the UK Wildcats are back home this Saturday to welcome the #1 Alabama Crimson Tide.  

Kickoff is at 7:00pm with pregame at 5:30pm here on the Bulldog.
