In high school football, the Letcher County Central Cougars lost to Somerset 42-7 at Cougar Field on Friday night.  It was the first home loss of the season for LCC and their record falls to an even 3-3 overall.  

The Cougars are off this Friday and will begin district play at Harlan County on Friday October 11th.

The Jenkins Cavaliers are now 1-4 after losing to Jackson County at home on Friday.  38-22 was the final.  

Jenkins will take on Knott County Central at home Friday night with kickoff at 7:30pm.

The 9-4 Letcher County Central Cougar boys soccer team will next play Buckhorn tonight at home.  Game time is 6:30pm.  

The 8-3 Lady Cougars Soccer team will next play at Shelby Valley Tuesday, part of a boys/girls doubleheader with the LCC Boys.

The Letcher County Central Lady Cougar Volleyball team is back in action tomorrow(Tuesday) when they battle Betsy Layne on the road at 7:30pm.

The UK Wildcats lost to #20 Florida 24-7 on Saturday.

The Cats will now take on South Carolina in Columbia Saturday night with kickoff at 7:30pm.

We'll have the Coach Mark Stoops Show with Tom Leach tonight at 6:00pm on 103.9 The Bulldog, followed by Big Blue Sports Weekly with Dick Gabriel at 7:00pm.
