The Letcher County Central Cougar Football team is now 2-0 after beating McCreary Central Friday night in the ARH Football Classic at LCC.  

The final score was 56-0 and gave LCC back to back shutout wins to begin the year.  

The Cougars will now head to Hazard for their first road game of the season this Friday as they take on the Bulldogs at Daniel Field.  

Hazard is 0-1 on the year after losing to Pikeville in a 62-50 shootout Saturday in the Pike County Bowl.

Game time is set for 7:30pm and we'll have the game here on the Bulldog with the Cougar Countdown Pre-game Show starting at 6:45.

The Jenkins Cavaliers are now 1-1 in 2013 after losing to Allen Central 34-26 as the Rebels got the come from behind win.

The Cavaliers will stay home this Friday and battle Clinton County with kickoff set for 8:00pm.

Letcher County Central Soccer will have a boys/girls doubleheader tonight at Prestonsburg.

The 4-0 girls play at 6:00pm and the 3-1 boys play at 8:00pm.


The Letcher County Central Lady Cougar Volleyball Team will play at Hazard tonight at 7:30pm.


The LCC Cougar Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams will take part in the Harlan All-Comers Meet this afternoon at 5:00pm at Harlan County High School.


Jenkins golfer Lexi Stambaugh will complete at the All A Classic State Tournament this Saturday September 7 at Burnside, Ky.
