A crash involving a school bus in eastern Kentucky has led to more than 20 children being taken to a hospital. Magoffin County Schools Superintendent says all the students, the bus driver and a monitor had been released early Monday afternoon after being examined at the hospital. the driver of a car involved was also released. the students complained of neck or back pain but none suffered traumatic injuries.

Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard is investigating a collision that occurred in Cornettsville on Saturday which has resulted in the death of a Perry County child.  It happened on KY 699, in the Cornettsville community of Perry County. The initial investigation determined that a side by side ATV, driven by Eulene Caudill, pulled from a private drive, onto KY 699.  The ATV crossed the path of a Toyota pickup being driven by 22 year old Jonathan Shepherd, of Slemp, resulting in the collision. Caudill and a child passenger were ejected from the ATV, resulting in injuries to both.  Eulene Caudill and Jonathan Shepherd were taken to Hazard ARH with non life threatening injuries.  The child passenger was flown from the scene to Holston Valley Medical Center, where he later died as a result of injuries sustained in this collision.

Work continues for the renovation of Commonwealth Stadium which is set to be complete by the start of the 2015 UK football season. When the stadium is finished, it will have more luxury suites, boxes, and club seats at the field and mezzanine levels.

State officials were surprised Monday to find more than 400 people showed up to bid on 29 knives and guns that led to the imprisonment of former Kentucky agriculture commissioner and basketball star Richie Farmer whose jersey hangs in Rupp Arena. The state Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources made more than $21,000 for charity by auctioning off 16 knives and 13 rifles that once belonged to Farmer. The former Republican agriculture commissioner is serving a 27-month sentence in federal prison.

The Middlesboro Bell County Airport has re-opened following Friday's plane crash. Middlesboro police say the FAA was there during the weekend investigating the crash. Police say on friday, a 71-year-old pilot from took off from the airport bound for Texas but had a problem develop and returned to land. police say he lost control and a wing struck the runway, causing the plane veer off the runway and catch fire.
