Eight different fire departments battled a fire at a popular Floyd County motel and restaurant causing officials to close a portion of Highway 1428 in Allen for more than seven hours.  Fire ripped through the family owned and operated Seasons Inn, leaving many in the Allen community devastated. Officials say the fire started in the attic area near the main entrance of the restaurant...an area owners say is pretty much all brand new. The owners say all 23 rooms were occupied at the time of the fire, thankfully everyone did get out safely. Fire officials say they were able to save most of the motel rooms and apartments, however many did receive smoke and water damage.

A Pike County man will spend nearly two decades behind bars for killing his wife. Friday Bruce Dillon was sentenced after pleading guilty to manslaughter charges in October.  Sherry Dillon's body was found buried in the couple's yard in Aflex(A-flex)last year.  Bruce Dillon faced murder charges. In October he accepted a guilty plea for manslaughter.  Dillon will spend 19 years of his life behind bars.  Prosecutors also say at trial they would have been forced to put a small child on the stand and wanted to avoid that if possible.

In Floyd County, State police still need your help to catch a fugitive. Anthony Gillespie is wanted for kidnapping, robbery and other charges. State police say he could be in the Branham's Creek area of Floyd County or in Lexington. They say Gillespie should be considered dangerous. He is one of two people indicted for a Pike County bank robbery.

A Harlan County man is receiving treatment in a Georgia hospital. Scotty Moore, 21, was burned during an explosion Thursday while working on a bulldozer. He was airlifted to the Holsten Valley Medical Center, and is now listed as in critical condition in Augusta, Georgia. The man wanted in a Southern Kentucky murder case surrendered to police in Harlan County. 25-year-old Hubert Dustin Lewis is being taken to Laurel County for questioning. Police say Lewis stabbed a 60-year-old man at a home on Campbell Road, just south of London. Clinton Ray Howard died at the scene, he suffered a stab wound to the neck. We're told a fight between Lewis, his girlfriend Tiffany Jackson and Howard likely sparked the violence.

A fire heavily damaged two rooms at the Baptist Health Outpatient Rehab building in Corbin. Fire officials say the call came in around 7:45 Saturday morning. The flames caused smoke damage throughout much of the building. a nearby dental office was damaged as well. Investigators were not able to determine the cause of the blaze. No injuries were reported.
