Jenkins City Pool will stay open until 9:00pm

Whitesburg

Music on stage, inflatables for the kids along with a food booth starts at 5:00pm
Sundy Best on stage at 8:00pm followed by fireworks after dark
It's all at Riverside Park(walking track) beside the hospital
It's all free except local groups/teams will be selling the food

Terry Terrell Special Singing Trinity Full Gospel Church

Letcher County Central Archery Team Fishing Tournament July 10

The 2nd Annual Letcher County Central Archery Team Fishing Tournament will be held at Carr Creek Lake on Friday night July 10th.  Registration is at the marina at 6:00pm with the tournament going from 7:00pm to 7:00am.  Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places plus for big fish.  The cost is $50.00 per boat for 2 people and a 5 fish limit.  No live bait, artificial only.  All proceeds benefit the LCC Archery Team trip to the world competition July 23-25 in Nashville.  For more information contact coach Michael Sexton at 606-434-1602 or on Facebook. 

Faith Community Church VBS July 19-23

Faith Community Church in Whitesburg will have Vacation Bible School Sunday July 19th through Thursday July 23rd from 6:00-8:00pm each evening.  The theme is Blast From The Past.  The church is located behind the courthouse in Whitesburg and the pastor is Dock Frazier. 

Harvest Time On The Mountain July 11

Harvest Time On The Mountain will be held on Saturday July 11th from 11:00am-6:00pm on the property of Truth Ministries, just off US 119 near the entrance to Little Shepherd Trail on top of Pine Mountain.   Christian musicians performing will include Forgiven, Sons of Thunder, Caleb Howard, Frank Holbrook, Sawyer Turner, Jake Harding and many more.  There will be inflatables for the kids and admission is free.
