2015 Mountain Heritage Festival Theme Info

The theme for the 2015 Mountain Heritage Festival is "Going to the Mountains is Going Home." The Mountain Heritage Festival Committee has decided to honor physicians who have served professionally and faithfully for many years as health care providers in Letcher County. Physicians who have cared for Letcher County residents and have encouraged patients to attain and maintain healthy lifestyles will be acknowledged as grand marshals of the 2015 Mountain Heritage Festival Parade on Saturday, September 26. The festival committee is asking for nominations of physicians who have made a positive impact on the lives of Letcher County residents, have been employed in Letcher County for 15 years or more and have made Letcher County their home. Physicians who are no longer living may also fit this criteria and will be recognized as well. Mail submissions by September 1 to Lee Anna Mullins, Mountain Heritage Festival Chairperson, at P.O.
