Eolia Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School Sunday July 12 through Thursday July 16 from 6:00-8:30pm each evening. The theme is God's Back Yard Bible Camp. Ages are babies through 12th grade. Bus transportation will be provided from the Virginia state line to the Harlan/Letcher County line and up to the Oven Fork senior center on US 119.
The Letcher County 4-H Program will once again be excepting donations of YARD SALE items to help offset the cost of the Trip to the Kentucky State Fair and other 4-H Events. Just drop them off at the Letcher County Extension Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 until 4:30. If you need more information you can call us at 633-2362. The Letcher County Saving Grace Homeless Shelter is now officially open! They have established a 6 bed facility at Goose Creek in Neon. This is a partnership with the Letcher County Sheriff's Office and if you need info or know of someone homeless and in need call the sheriff's department at 633-2293.
