Jenkins Volunteer Fire Department will have an ATV Poker Run on Saturday June 1st at Fishpond Lake at Payne Gap. Registration begins at 11am and the Ride begins at 12 noon. The cost is $10.00 per hand and $1.00 per ticket for the half and half drawing. All proceeds go to the Jenkins Volunteer Fire Department for building maintenance and new rescue truck. |

Blood Donors are not only able to save lives this summer, but they can also win a new car! Everyone 18 and older who registers to donate blood with Kentucky Blood Center is eligible to win a 2013 Toyota Prius. The Kentucky Blood Center will have a Letcher County Community Blood Drive on Thursday May 23rd from 1:30pm-4:00pm on the KBC Bloodmobile 853 Lakeside Drive in Jenkins.
