Attorneys for Eric C Conn are asking that the original 18 count indictment against him be dropped as he faces a slew of new charges in connection with his escape to Honduras. Early indications are that the judge will likely dismiss the request. Conn had pleaded guilty to lesser charges and was waiting for sentencing when he fled the country. When he was returned to the U-S, the plea agreement was tossed out. If convicted on all those charges, he faces up to 255 years in prison.
