The Letcher County Central High School (LCC) Superintendent Tony Sergent said a freshman student made a comment to another student about a threat towards LCC.
A student who heard the threat went and told officials.
The school resource officer investigated and arrested the student.
Sergent did not know where he was taken to and what his charges are as of right now.
Sergent wants parents to know there is no credible threat towards the high school, no kids or staff were ever in danger.
LCC will have heavy police presence Thursday in hopes of easing parents’ minds.
