City of Whitesburg Labor Day Celebration!
The City of Whitesburg is proud to present a full day of FREE family fun and entertainment at Riverside Park in Whitesburg on Labor Day, Monday September 6th!
The fun begins at 1pm with music and local bands on stage all afternoon. There will be horseshoe and cornhole tournaments, a fishing tournament, inflatables, firetruck rides, food, fun and games. Then at 7pm on stage Country Super Group....THE CONFEDERATE RAILROAD- LIVE in Concert.
It's all FREE and this celebration is honoring the Coal Miner and what Miners mean to Letcher County and the city of Whitesburg. All day long there will be giveaways from area merchants to coal miners in attendance. It's all this Monday September 6th starting at 1pm. The City of Whitesburg Labor Day Celebration!
2010 Mountain Heritage Festival
Throughout the month of September and especially the week of September 19th-25th Letcher County and all the communities within will celebrate the annual Mountain Heritage Festival. The festival will feature all the usual food, fun, entertainment and more.
